2025 CLAAS Jaguar 900 Terra Trac 960

Information

2025 CLAAS Jaguar 900 Terra Trac 960

On track for soil protection.

Agriculture is changing. CLAAS is consistently developing TERRA TRAC technology to meet the increasing demands of farmers and contractors regarding area yield, flexibility, and lower ground pressure.

The benefits for you.
  • Quick on the road
  • Reduces soil compaction in the field
  • Stable on slopes
  • High traction for heavy-duty work
  • Comfortable driving experience

Features may include:

Ground pressure measurement results.

Soil is the most important basis for production in the agricultural sector. As it is impossible to create more of it, ever-increasing yields have to be obtained from existing land. This can only be achieved with machines that are bigger, more powerful and, therefore, heavier. Soil compaction is the result. Recognizing the need to reduce this effect drastically, we developed the TERRA TRAC drive concept with a patented geometry for particularly effective soil protection.

Soil pressure measurement when cornering.

For the JAGUAR, we have taken our TERRA TRAC concept one step further. The JAGUAR TERRA TRAC is the first forage harvester equipped as standard with a solution to protect the soil and stubble against damage from driving. This headland protection reduces the contact area by a third when cornering and protects the grass cover. This means—that for the first time—it is possible to benefit from the advantages of the crawler track system all year round on all surfaces.

The TERRA TRAC crawler track system causes significantly lower soil pressure than a wheeled machine—even in headland mode.

The driving force.

The TERRA TRAC drive concept with its patented geometry combines reliable, durable components with sophisticated technology.

  • With the most powerful model, the JAGUAR 990 TERRA TRAC, a 12-row ORBIS 900 and narrow crawler track units, you'll be in the unique position of being able to take a machine with this level of this performance on the road within a width limit of 9' 10" (3 m).
  • Friction-locked drive: there is no interrupted drive due to individual teeth, instead, a continuous frictional drive connection is provided across the entire track.
  • Large wheels: the large wheels prevent rapid sinking into the ground and enable an easier exit from the track formed by the machine in extreme conditions. Also, the large diameter of the wheels results in a greater contact area with the track and allows more effective power transmission.
  • Durable components.
  • Hydropneumatic suspension: the smart suspension system ensures a high level of driving comfort while keeping mechanical loads on the machine low. Wheels and yoke-type track rollers are suspended separately. This enables driving speeds of up to 25 mph (40 km/h) and noticeably enhanced cornering stability.
  • Automatic track belt tensioning: the robust track belt is tensioned by an additional hydraulic cylinder that prevents slippage. The tension is constantly monitored electronically. If the track tension pressure drops, the rider is warned via CEBIS.
Recognized around the world.
  • Large contact area combined with a transport width that complies with the rules of the road
  • Avoiding soil compaction and preservation of the soil structure
  • Less driving resistance with less slip, lower fuel consumption with greater stability on slopes thanks to optimized traction
  • Higher seasonal performance through longer working times—even under the most challenging conditions
  • Shallower ruts that can be easily eliminated with subsequent tillage
